EXPG STUDIO and Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd. will carry out a collaborative campaign through “yappy,” a wellness sparkling beverage formulated with highly fermentable dietary fiber (guar gum hydrolysate), which will be released on the Suntory Online Store on June 29, 2026 (Mon.).
“yappy” is a new brand that supports young people through its ingredients, delicious taste, and bright worldview, as they spend time immersed in their “passion”. *1


■Background of the Development
In recent years, carbonated drinks containing dietary fiber have become explosively popular in the United States, giving rise to a new category called “prebiotic soda” *1. As dietary fiber has attracted growing attention as the next key nutrient after protein *2, the “Dietary Reference Intakes for Japanese” issued by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare also recommend its consumption *3.
In addition to these trends, there is growing demand in Japan, especially among younger generations, for a way to shift from the “on” mode of everyday life to “off” mode and to spend one’s personal time in comfort *4. While carbonated beverages are often chosen for these moments of refreshment, there are also those who say they feel guilty because of concerns about sweetness and calories. For this reason, we believe there is demand in the Japanese market for a wellness sparkling drink that allows people to refresh themselves without guilt.

“yappy” is a wellness carbonated drink containing 4,000 mg of highly fermentable dietary fiber (guar gum hydrolysate), designed to refresh both the body and mood. “Highly fermentable dietary fiber (guar gum hydrolysate)” is a material obtained by enzymatically breaking down bean-derived water-soluble dietary fiber. It is characterized by being less likely to impair taste or texture, and by having extremely high fermentability compared with ordinary dietary fiber, drawing attention from a perspective different from conventional dietary fiber. With reduced calories, we set out to create a drink that is perfect for “personal time spent fully enjoying your passion” featuring the refreshing sensation of carbonation and a gentle sweetness.
The lineup includes two flavors: “Sokai Kiwi” and “Shifuku Peach”. Containing 10% fruit juice, they achieve both gentle sweetness and a clean, refreshing taste, and are finished as low-calorie drinks with 38 kcal per bottle that can be enjoyed without guilt.
The brand name “yappy” is a coined term combining the exhilaration of “yatta! (yay)” and the feeling of “happy”. It expresses the moment of “yatta!” when you fully commit to your passion and stay determined to the end, and the desire to increase such feelings throughout daily life. We put those feelings into each bottle.

■Collaboration with “EXPG,” an entertainment school operated by LDH

“yappy” carries the brand message “I’m OK! Go all-in on passion.”, and will carry out initiatives throughout the year that support the lifestyles of young people pursuing what they love.
As part of the launch, “yappy” will collaborate with “EXPG,” an entertainment school run by LDH that trains young people aspiring to become artists.
This project will feature the original “yappy Dance” challenge. The “yappy Dance” was choreographed by TAIGA, whose choreography has gone viral worldwide on TikTok as “Taiga no Furitsuke”. The song “yappy! yappy! yappy!” was written for the happy worldview of “yappy” by Sho Yamamoto, a songwriter and composer known for creating many hit idol songs and often called the creator of “the cutest songs in the world.”
The collaboration will also include performances by “EXPG” students and support for live concerts by artists who graduated from “EXPG.”
Additionally, to coincide with “THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2026 ‘(R)MPG'” Shizuoka shows (held July 1 (Wed.), 2026 and July 2 (Thu.), 2026), a special yappy×EXPG” tour set that includes an original promotional item will be available for sale.
