RELEASE

2026.06.30

LDH kitchen Inc. promotes Japanese food culture both in Japan and overseas under the concept of “Food is also entertainment” (Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroyuki Suzuki; hereinafter referred to as “our company”).

Meguro’s “TORISHIKI,” a Michelin one-star restaurant known as one of “Japan’s most difficult restaurants to book” and a partner in our efforts to enhance the value of Japanese food culture, is led by owner Yoshiteru Ikegawa. From this restaurant, the casual dining yakitori brand “Torimachi” has confirmed to participate in the main event of the “Fukui Phoenix Festival,” the “Fukui Yakitori Festival!!!”, which will take place from July 31 to August 2, 2026.

This participation has been organized as a special initiative to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Kenchi Tachibana (EXILE / EXILE THE SECOND) serving as the promotional ambassador of Fukui food. It was made possible through a collaboration between Fukui City (Mayor: Shigeru Saigyo; hereinafter, “Fukui City”) and LDH JAPAN Inc. (Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Hiroyuki Igarashi; hereinafter referred to as “LDH JAPAN”), the company to which Kenchi Tachibana belongs, with participation from our company and TORISHIKI ICHIMON, both of which are part of the LDH Group. We are also the first brand from outside the prefecture to participate in this event.

On the day of the event, we will serve yakitori grilled using TORISHIKI ICHIMON’s unique “near-high flame” technique, creating a fragrant aroma while bringing out the full depth of its umami flavor, accompanied by an immersive live performance.
Together with the excitement of watching the grilling unfold right before your eyes, we deliver the appeal of Japanese food culture through an immersive yakitori experience.

■ PARTNERSHIP|Our initiatives with Fukui City so far
Furthermore, as part of our efforts to deliver Japanese food culture both domestically and internationally under the concept of “Food is also entertainment,” we have been working in collaboration with Fukui City since 2019 to promote the appeal of the region.

Over the years, we have worked to share the appeal of Fukui’s food culture with a broader audience through initiatives in urban areas, including the “Echizen Fukui Fair,” which introduced Fukui’s local ingredients and sake at Torimachi locations, and the “Fukuiine! Lunch Fair” at LDH kitchen THE TOKYO HANEDA. These efforts have helped build the foundation for this initiative.

Building on these continued efforts to share locally rooted culinary experiences, we will use our participation in this event as an opportunity to showcase new value and perspectives from Fukui.

■ OUR INTENT|Delivering Yakitori as a cultural experience
Through this initiative, TORISHIKI ICHIMON aims to go beyond the simple act of providing dining experiences and reimagine yakitori as an immersive “experience” that embodies Japan’s traditional food culture.

In addition to the flavors themselves, we recognize every element surrounding yakitori as a source of value, including the artisan’s craftmanship, grilling techniques, and even the passage of time within the space.

When these elements all come together as one, yakitori transcends the boundaries of a dish, taking on a broader dimension as a culture.

Through “Torimachi,” we will embody this essential value by creating an “everyday pinnacle” experience that harmonizes with the unique character of each “town” and showcases the new appeal of yakitori culture.

■ BRAND STORY|What is Torimachi
As a casual dining yakitori brand, “Torimachi” is centered on “The Three Sacred Treasures” that represent the good old-fashioned taste, and the “pinnacle of daily experience”. It dedicatedly provides a fine food experience while keeping close to the everyday lives of diners.

With the concept of “creating stores rooted in the community,” the brand took its first step in September 2023 with the opening of “Nakameguro Torimachi.” In 2025, “Harajuku Torimachi” opened in the Jingumae/Harajuku area, followed by “Shibaura Torimachi” in the Shibaura/Tamachi area in December of the same year. Each location harmonizes with the character of its neighborhood while expanding the possibilities of yakitori culture.

Looking ahead, with plans to expand both nationwide and overseas, Torimachi aims to bring its uniquely “both nostalgic and fresh” yakitori experience to more neighborhoods and people around the world.

■ About TORISHIKI ICHIMON
Since its opening in 2007, Meguro “TORISHIKI” has held a MICHELIN one-star rating for many years and is recognized as “the hardest-to-book yakitori restaurant in Japan”. Its owner Yoshiteru Ikegawa, as the representative of artisan chefs, established “TORISHIKI ICHIMON” to further develop the culture of yakitori.

“One skewer, one life”
——A once-in-a-lifetime skewer.

With this faith in mind, the chefs spend their entire life facing chicken, charcoal and themselves.
This is a brand where like-minded artisans gather together to preserve and cultivate the traditions of Japanese culinary culture and weave them into the future, all while passing on their skills and spirit.

Currently, the brand has 17 stores in Japan and abroad, with plans for further expansion.

Aiming to preserve Japanese food culture, the company works alongside Yoshiteru Ikegawa, owner of the renowned yakitori restaurant “TORISHIKI” to promote the training of skilled artisans and expand opportunities for them to thrive.
