- LDH and Mitsui Fudosan have concluded a “Business Partnership Contract to Support the Dreams of Children and Young Adults” using facilities such as LaLaport. A press conference was also held at Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall on Monday, November 13th.
- Together, utilizing the shopping facilities operated by Mitsui Fudosan Group, policies are to be developed to help Children and Youth“Encounter,” “Pursue,” and “Realize” Their Dreams.
- As the first step, multiple policies are announced, including the filming of an original music video at LaLaport, and the opening of a new dance school in the Minami-Funabashi area.
Based on the concept of “Growing Together,” the Mitsui Fudosan Group’s commercial facility businesses aims to develop and operate real estate that allows customers, store owners, and the local community to grow together.
With the consecutive opening of both the Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Fukuoka (Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture) in 2022, which features a sports park that houses a 200m track field, and the Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Sakai (Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture), which features a large event space equipped with a stage that’s available for sports and dance events, audio equipment, and the largest jumbotron found in a shopping facility nationwide, the group is working to improve the experience value of its facilities by incorporating sports and entertainment.
Moreover, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport, whose fundamental clients are families raising young children, is assisting with fostering kids’ dreams by drawing in Kidzania, an interactive city made for children to experience different professions, to three locations nationwide.
In addition, the Mitsui Fudosan Sports Academy has been hosted more than 20 times in the past, providing children with one-day lessons from athletes at their Mitsui Fudosan Group facilities. They are introduced to the appeal of different sports by meeting elite athletes who serve as teachers. These sports academies engage the possibilities created for children to fulfill their dreams of “wanting to take up sports” or “becoming an athlete.”
With the “Circle of Dreams” as their purpose and “Dreams for Children / Giving Children Dreams” as their social contribution policy, LDH aims to show kids how amazing it is to have dreams. In addition to dedicating their time to finding and nurturing artists, they will also support kid-friendly soccer competitions and other events, creating a space where the kids who will be the leaders of the future can engage and experience sports.
This partnership came to fruition from the mutual understanding and common interests of LDH’s “Dreams For Children” social contribution policy and Mitsui Fudosan Group’s “Growing Together” commercial business policy of nurturing the spirit and dreams of children.
This will be the first time that Mitsui Fudosan has formed such a partnership with an entertainment company.
As part of the efforts to help kids and young people achieve their dreams, we aim to provide value by giving them the tools to 1) “Encounter,” 2) “Pursue,” and 3) “Realize” them. We do this by combining the soft power of LDH with the hard power and facilities of Mitsui Fudosan.
① “Encounter”… Creating a place to “encounter” dreams and goals through real experiences such as dance events
② “Pursue”… Providing a place to “Pursue” dreams and goals through audition planning and dance schools
③ “Realize”… Providing a place for children to “realize” their dreams and goals through concerts and live performances
“EXILE B HAPPY” will film their first music video with the theme “Increasing Children’s Smiles” at “Mitsui Shopping Park Urban Dock LaLaport TOYOSU” (Koto-ku, Tokyo) (* To be released at a later date).
Through music videos produced in surrounding facilities, as well as debut and dance events conducted at each facility, we will provide children opportunities to “Encounter” new dreams, like dancing and meeting new friends who have similar aspirations.
What is “EXILE B HAPPY”?
The new unit “EXILE B HAPPY” was created from LDH JAPAN’s kids entertainment program “KIDS B HAPPY Project” and is primarily made up of EXILE TRIBE members. The goal of this children’s entertainment project is to increase children’s smiles. As the ambassador since 2023, EXILE TETSUYA has put many smiles on children and engaged them in healthy activities by hosting the original dance workshop show “EXILE TETSUYA with EXPG,” which is fun for kids and parents to enjoy together.
For many years, Mitsui Fudosan Group has been promoting urban development in the Minami-Funabashi area of Chiba Prefecture through the development and operation of facilities such as Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY and Mitsui Shopping Park LaLa Terrace TOKYO-BAY (scheduled to open on November 29, 2023). It has been confirmed that EXPG STUDIO will open in Vivit Minami-Funabashi (operated by Mitsui Fudosan Retail Management), one of their many establishments in the area.
We hope to support those who “Pursue” their dreams at EXPG STUDIO in the future, as well as the planning and execution of audition events in outdoor and event locations.
What is “EXPG STUDIO”?
EXPG STUDIO” is a full-scale school which trains those who want to become artists, dancers, vocalists, actors, and all other expressionists = a school which aims to develop entertainers. With the intention of giving kids a chance to realize their dreams, EXILE, a group that has been pursuing their own dreams, launched their first school in Tokyo in 2003. There are now currently 14 schools overall, 11 nationwide and 3 overseas.
The Roux F open space in Lazona Kawasaki Plaza (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture) is sometimes referred to as the “Holy Land of Debut Events” and has hosted a number of debut performances for many artists, notably J SOUL BROTHERS III in November 2010. Event spaces and other amenities that help people fulfill their dreams are available not just at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza, but also in many of Mitsui Fudosan’s shopping facilities.
In August 2023, the LDH groups “KID PHENOMENON,” “THE JET BOY BANGERZ,” and “WOLF HOWL HARMONY,” made their simultaneous debut as they held their debut event at the Seaside deck main stage at LaLaport TOYOSU. We will continue to hold debut events, as well as provide a place where children can show the results of their efforts and “realize” their dreams and goals.
Additionally, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at “Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Taichung” (Taichung City, Taiwan), a talk event featuring EXILE AKIRA will be held in commemoration of EXILE’s first overseas independent concert, “EXILE LIVE 2023 in TAIPEI”. There will also be a performance led by our students at Taiwan EXPG STUDIO during the event. We will support children and young adults who are chasing their dreams in Taiwan.
■A Comment from Hiroyuki Igarashi/EXILE HIRO, Chairman, CEO, and CCO of LDH JAPAN Inc.
Under the theme “Dreams for Children / Giving Children Dreams,” LDH has aided children’s dreams. We are delighted that our partnership with Mitsui Fudosan will increase the number of locations around the nation where these dreams may come true.
In keeping with LDH’s purpose, “Circle of Dreams,” we at Mitsui Fudosan look forward to supporting children’s dreams and creating chances for many dreams to interact with one another through the power of entertainment in the future.
■A Comment from Mizuho Wakabayashi, Executive Managing Officer and General Manager of Commercial Facilities of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.
Entertainment has the power to bring emotions to people and give them dreams. We believe that such forms of emotional experiences are the only types of real, strong content in urban development. We have been communicating with LDH JAPAN in an effort to establish a cycle where kids and teens may “Encounter,” “Pursue,” and “Realize” their dreams. We look forward to continuing to work with LDH JAPAN, envisioning a future where this initiative bears fruit, and seeing children and young adults realize their dreams while spending time at our facilities.
